Deploy Data Protection agent software to managed devices
This help topic outlines how to install and configure the necessary Credant Data Protection agent software to your managed devices. For an agent to be active, you need to:
- Apply a policy in the Credant console
- Install the agent
- Allow time for the policy to be applied on the managed device (this can take some time and may include a reboot of the device)
The agent software enables Data Protection on the device, Data Protection information gathering by the LANDESK core server, and information gathering used to populate the console's Inventory and Summary views.
